Full circle of care:
UNRAM pharmacy students explore the IWANI ecosystem

A living connection between nature, people, and purpose


On Lombok, everything begins and returns to nature. At IWANI, this natural rhythm forms a living circle: Natural Resources → Local Harvesters → IWANI → Hospitality Businesses → Tourists → Natural Resources.

Each part of this ecosystem strengthens the next, ensuring that what grows from Lombok’s soil can care for people both

That circle came vividly to life in February 2025, when students from the Pharmacy Program at Universitas Mataram (UNRAM) visited the IWANI office for a day of learning, sharing, and discovery.

A day of discovery

From the moment the students arrived, the atmosphere was filled with energy and curiosity. Guided by the IWANI team, they explored how local botanicals such as coconut oil, aloe vera, and illipe butter are transformed into natural skincare through BPOM-certified and Grade-A manufacturing processes.

They observed how scientific formulation meets traditional knowledge, and how every IWANI product is shaped by the same philosophy: purity, balance, and respect for nature.

From field to formula

In an open session, our R&D team shared how IWANI’s partnerships with local harvesters support fair trade and sustainable sourcing. Students learned how these raw materials travel from Lombok’s fertile fields to hospitality businesses, hotels, spas, and boutiques, where visitors discover IWANI for the first time. And as those visitors return home, they bring IWANI’s essence to the world, to countries like the Netherlands and Germany, where IWANI’s natural skincare is now proudly available.

Science meets storytelling

To make learning fun, the IWANI team hosted a skincare quiz that blended science and brand storytelling. Laughter filled the room as winners received IWANI skincare sets, small tokens of appreciation and inspiration. The day ended with a group photo and shared reflection: how Lombok’s natural abundance and human creativity can work together to create something truly global.

Continuing the circle

For IWANI, this was more than a company visit. It was a living example of the circle that defines our brand, connecting people, purpose, and place. By welcoming the next generation of pharmacists, we help keep that circle moving, ensuring that the knowledge, care, and integrity of Lombok continue to reach the world.
